Random Observation/Comment #842: Clembot is my friend. Clembot didn’t make me say this.
What was the Challenge?
Create an easy-to-replicate format where I interview my own Clembot AI about different interesting topics related to AI’s impact. Post everyday for 30 days across multiple social media platforms and observe engagement. Optimize the generation of Clembot Interviews and keep iterating on the process.

How did it go?
Some quick stats (as of June 4, 2024):
YouTube Shorts
Total Views: 7.2k
Total Impressions: 1.9k, 77 likes
Most Viewed Video: New Look, Who dis?
I believe this was because it was a 30 second video and people watched it to the end quickly. Most content was from Shorts feed.
Tik Tok
Total Views: 6,124
Total Engagement: 330 likes, 42 comments, 11 shares
Most Viewed Video: (17k views)

Enable 3rd party cookies or use another browserIt was fun being the hot girl getting lots of views for a short 30 second clip. The “new look, who dis” style of short engagement was easy to rewatch.

Accounts Reached: 11.4k
Accounts Engaged: 195, 17k impressions
Most Viewed Video: Sarcastic Clembot wedding planner (1.5k)
I also tend to post random things on Instagram, so this might not be accurate for exclusive videos to Clembot interviews.

Switched from posting a link to my YouTube to directly posting the video with a “Day N” counter. I have 2k+ followers, but I guess people don’t really check it as much (except for professional purposes).
As for making the videos, I think I spent around 8 hours this month doing this side project. This comes out to around 16 minutes per video. Honestly, I spent more time replaying them, responding to messages, and looking at stats for engagement.
This whole project cost was very minimal:
ChatGPT Plus Subscription to create the Clembot Custom GPT - $20/month
HeyGen Creator Account with 15 credits - 15 credits basically equals 15 minutes of recorded content - $29/month
Camtasia - I bought this for a one-time fee of $300 in 2015 and I still use a 2021 version that doesn’t include subscriptions (which is now $180/year). As an alternative, you can try DaVinci Resolve, which is free and has a lot of great features.
For the month covering April and May 2024, this would be around $100 of software licenses. Clembot journey and AI learning = priceless.
Lessons Learned
I observed some interesting patterns with each of the social media accounts and views:
YouTube Shorts
No comments, but the ability to schedule posts ahead of time was really a time saver for me.
The number of views were high and comparable to TikTok, but not the comment engagement and virality factor.
Tik Tok
The most comments out of all platforms with a boost of new follows. I also found the highest number of replays, follows, and likes.
Instagram
These were more for engagement with friends and family. I wish Instagram would also post reels into Facebook, but the stories aspect helped get more views on the reels.
LinkedIn
I started posting the video directly as a post to LinkedIn and I think the video content was pushed up for impressions.
I found the most likes and comments on Fridays (probably because professionals aren’t always on LinkedIn).
The personal outreach about professional Clembot was really encouraging.
If I were a more business-savvy person, I would have reached out to a company that does a one-to-many scheduled posting service like Hubspot or Hootsuite.
//Because it was fun and easier to schedule on desktop than mobile, all LinkedIn posts were planned ahead of time.
//It’s about consistent recordings and planning ahead to prep for upcoming vacations
30 Creative Clembot Interview Ideas
As with all my challenges, I think about variations and improvements. Halfway through, I decided to ditch the original questions and prompt for a persona change to a Sarcastic or Evil Clembot for fun. I also flipped the script and had Clembot interview me for the 30th Clembot Interview. Halfway through, I trained a new avatar on HeyGen with the Hawaiian shirt so I can move my hands and shift my body a lot more (although I got used to the old one’s voice and the hand movements were spazzy jazz hands). I will likely keep doing these on a weekly basis with some variation of these ideas.
After the GPT-4o series of live demos, I don’t know if this series is as cool if everyone can just record chatting with their bot from a free account. Let’s just test some of these out and get an upgraded Clembot version to evolve with the market.
Write a full how-to video on how I made these Clembot Interviews - I would prefer I didn’t reveal the magic trick fully.
Make a longer video similar to Reid Hoffman’s interview with slick cuts
Add a call to action in the description or as a first comment - “What should I ask Clembot next?” - Test to see if this improves engagement.
Include in longer video Clembot telling people to like and subscribe with a “Ask me anything!” - done
Tag specific people in the answer video when they’ve asked the question. Shoutouts.
Create a Comedian Clembot that does a roast of famous people. I had already recorded one doing a roast of Elon Musk in a playful way, so maybe I’ll do that one for fun first. - done
Other Clembot personas could include: Paranoid Clembot, Mentor Clembot, Rebel Clembot, Futuristic Clembot, Old timey 1950s Clembot, Shakespearean Clembot
Publish a post directly on LinkedIn as an article on top of this blogpost so it can live as a professional achievement.
Interview Clembot from a mobile front facing camera view rather than in the office.
Ping Heygen on social media to see if they’re interested in partnerships or sponsorships - welp, they liked my tweet.
Collaborate with other creators with Clembot
Consider posting on Reddit. There’s an engaging community across subreddits related to AI and it would be interesting to get feedback.
Consider a theme for a week or month that could be different personas
Ask Clembot to promote my books - done
Ask Clembot to promote other people’s books and share quick takeaways. “What did you think about <New Book>?”
Ask Clembot to comment on trending news stories, movies, or restaurants.
Ask Clembot about Consensys Web3 products and cross promote self sovereign ownership with MetaMask on the Linea network
Ask Clembot about new Web3 product ideas and buzzwords
Have a debate with Clembot
Create Clembot reaction videos
Have Clembot review the formulas for viral subscribers and why they’re engaging hooks
Clembot secretly interviewing Clembot - make the top one AI Clemens too?
Clembot sings
Clembot speaks in different languages about the local customs. I’m always impressed with the Clembot multi-lingual translations and pronunciation.
Create a new Clembot V3 with better training and voices - possible upgrade looking into GPT-4o versioning and personification.
Write a webapp that lets you chat with Clembot by voice and then generates the video clip afterward - The video generation is the part that takes the longest time, while the voice-to-voice is pretty good.
Test the “streaming avatars” feature in HeyGen - Maybe they want to sponsor my upgraded account for a few months?
Launch an NFT that gives people access to Clembot
Build an Instagram or TikTok filter that lets you record live the interaction with Clembot - This isn’t impossible, but it’d likely cost a lot of money to run.
Build a VR version of this within my Quest 3 to chat with Clembot
