30 NotebookLM Video Overviews Reflections (Dec 2025)
Reflecting on 30 days of watching video overviews of my own content
Random Observation/Comment #917: Workflow Automation should be the new AI Agent orchestration and management. Bring back terminology that was more descriptive.
//Nice one, nano banana pro. Fully edited the original.
What was the Challenge?
With the advancement of the zero barrier-to-entry full audio and video recap creation via NotebookLM and other tools, I decided to create a bit of automation workflow for feeding my existing blog posts into a process for scheduling posts of video overviews.
30 Days of NotebookLM Video Overviews (Nov 2025)
Random Observation/Comment #907: Why do I even need to create content anymore? Maybe I should just speak in bullet points so we don’t need the AI conversions of niceties.
The main idea was to work on automation while figuring out how to connect some systems together for easier publishing. At the end of the day, I was able to do a lot of this with very little overhead. There were a few edge cases I needed to account for, but it was a great learning experience.
How did it go?
That’s 30 video’s published in 30 days with under 8 hours of work. Pretty impressive.

I really spent more time just watching the video overviews back again than doing any of the post processing. Workflows are really powerful (and can be slightly expensive).
Lessons Learned
(Not a list of 30, but I guess I’m just being lazy before the end of the year)
Just do it - You have no excuse to just talk to your AI buddy and talk about the things you can self improve in your life with a bit of digging. Honestly, it’s just a few conversations and you can really reorganize how to manage your things in a better way. Research? You don’t even need to try anymore to be productive.
Question your current process - Why are you still using the old ways? Is it a habit to keep you healthy or is it a crutch because you fear you can automate your job away. In my view, I need to rationalize the time I spend doing something like physically typing on a keyboard. I can dictate everything now, but is that enjoyable work? I can feed a whole spreadsheet of ideas into an API to spit out a bunch of AI slop, but was it really enjoyable?
Trial and error - Did I get super frustrated? Yes. Did I have the infinite patience of Clembot to help me along the way? Yes. Did I sacrifice a few nights staring at my phone and scrolling on another recipe I probably won’t cook? Yes.
Curate - There’s simplicity and beauty in the blank spaces. There’s also quite a bit of beauty in the code you don’t use and the automations you keep an experiment vs a production system. As with most things in life, you cannot just throw it all out there without taste. No one wants to look at more than 20 photos of your holiday. No one wants to read 100 random notes on your phone.
What’s Next?
I really like the NotebookLM Video Overviews, so I think I’m going to continue doing them on my YouTube Channel, but specifically for Travel Advice. In classic Clemens fashion, I’ve already started creating some material and a YouTube playlist just for Travel advice:

To continue the momentum of the channel, I’ll find time to post weekly on a Monday or something to just get some of the old travel advice pieces completed.

After that? Who knows. Maybe I’ll publish an accompanying video for every list of 30 that I write on Fridays so it becomes a video post instead of a written one? As always, I am just poking around and likely will resort to my comfort zone of just writing lists of 30.
