Theme of the Month - Our Life in Lists of 30 and ETHDenver
The questions that led me to the posts for Feb 2024 were:
When cooking a specialty dish, what can you add as special ingredients or additional touches to make it stand out?
What is OpenAI’s Sora text-to-video and how will it impact the Stock footage and post-production / creator economy industry?
What have you built and tried out as distribution strategies for “Life in Lists of 30” books?
All previous claims to healthy living and alcohol consumption have completely reversed. Dry January is often countered by Binge drinking February. Trip to Basalt/Aspen was incredibly beautiful and Evie’s ski abilities were surprising. We’re now a ski family! It’s what we’ve always wanted. Happiness jar moments.
Lunar new year and impromptu neighborhood parties bring joy to my life. I’d be happy growing old with this group. There might be a list of 30 things I love about suburb living as a 4-year retro.
AI continues to move forward and progress faster than expected. There’s already an explosion of content that has overtaken human-capture photography and written text. It’s only a matter of time the uploaded videos are augmented or fully AI-generated. There will be a greater need for curation and brand loyalty.
My latest research and prediction of the intersection in Web3 and AI is on the wallet level. Consider your self-custodial MetaMask wallet as a place to access your private data verified credentials and additional data that is used as a reference for your fine-tuned localized LLM. A series of verified credentials or proofs that can be read and authenticated by your personal AI Agent/Executive Assistant between company entity AI Agents. This will be the new way for managing API logins and mash-ups of AI calling APIs on your behalf to aggregate data.
How cool would it be to have a locally deployed AI Risk Manager trained on my portfolio data that would pull from market data prices and other public trades? The “MetaMask” brand wouldn’t even need to change that much as our external/public facing wallet is the killer interface of AI to other services.
The blogposts I’ve published this month were:
30 Gourmet Culinary Touches - I’ve been exploring a variety of simple ingredients and techniques that can enhance the flavor, texture, and presentation of dishes. Yay more cooking!
30 OpenAI Sora Observations - Sora’s text-to-video is going to be profound. We’re back to creating mash-ups and there’s no excuse not to participate in the creator economy.
“Our Life in Lists of 30” Assets - Don’t just write a book. Create a number of marketing assets and ways people can understand your material. Try podcasts, videos, shorts, and AI GPT Agents to change up the channels and mediums of interaction.
Some ideas for Mar 2024? Still doing my monthly AI posts and exploring new tools.
“Our Life in Lists of 30” Official Book Launch - Since the book is done, it’s now more about building subscribers and getting pre-sales. This all seems so familiar to a token launch. Community is everything.
Bootstrapping Web3 with AI Tools Course - This is pretty much done. Maybe I’ll write a GPT agent that helps with promoting this.
30 Blue Sky Web3 Ideas - Off of a team offsite, we curated a lot of great ideas and expectations for our product.
30 Random Q1 2024 Insights - I did a Keep Note clearing of random jokes and notes. This is my FU to AI-generated material.
30 AI Buzzwords - I’ve loved writing buzzwords for Blockchain, DeFi, Consensys, NFTs, Token Gating, and DAOs so of course I’m plugged into a new series of flash trends.
30 Tips from Beat Bobby Flay - An output of love and drool from watching Beat Bobby Flay episodes on (HBO) Max.
30 New AI Careers - Rethinking our post-labor economic jobs. Let’s all switch to the gig economy.
Reflecting on 10 years of writing lists of 30 - I still love writing lists of 30! It’ll define my whole life.
30 Future Decade Goals - We split the next 30 years into goals per decade as mapped out by Evie’s age. This was a great activity in long term planning for her ages 6-16, 16-26, and 26-36.
30 Ways to Stretch Time - Wealth doesn’t mean money, but time. It’s our only limited resource.
30 Things I do for Self Care - We all need to figure out what restores our energy and keeps us sane.
Kicking off “Her Life in Lists of 30” - I think I have enough material from my monthly lists of 30s to cover this and launch it in 2024. Maybe I’ll find a publisher for this book? I think I’ll be happy with more substack subscribers than a single book defining a decade. If it’s popular, maybe I’ll do a book tour!
Thank you for reading and I hope everyone stays safe!
Please suggest a list of 30 and I’ll write it! I’ve written 250+ lists of 30 and only publish ones that I think other people would enjoy. It’s my fun brainstorming routine.
