The questions that led me to the posts for July 2023 were:
What can people do with AI tools?
What are the common AI requests?
I’ve loved the Firsts with Evie, but what about the Lasts?
What’s the Smartless podcast and what are some inside jokes I should know?
Linea has launched to mainnet at EthCC in Paris! What a fantastic project and incredible team. The NAVH Hackathon is also in full steam. The ZEP experience in 8-bit to connect with other coders is pretty cool: https://zep.us/play/2eR947
July has been fairly chill. A lot of BBQs and summer camps. I’ve continued being plugged into the latest AI news and tools - lots of consolidation and feature borrowing from big players. I’m still constantly impressed at the rate of shipping. I wouldn’t be surprised if markets get saturated with AI trading bots causing a melt up in trading and then leading to a huge crash (also from over-reliance of algorithms). We’ll see! Maybe it’s time for another AI prediction list of 30.
The blogposts I’ve published this month were:
30 Common AI Requests - Basic use cases for AI tools and what we can use today.
30 Lasts for Evie - This was a sentimental one. There’s new Firsts as she gets older, but the Lasts make me want to remember each time we share these moments together.
30 Smartless Inside Jokes - Smartless is just hilarious. If you haven’t heard the podcast already, it’s definitely a top 5.
Some ideas for August 2023? After starting Wanessa Labs, Inc. I’m thinking about doing fewer lists of 30 and more 30 day challenges creating creative digital assets or growing a reputation by describing experiments. More of this to come. I may keep it to 2 posts per month so I can do chunkier projects.
40 under 40 - I have triumphantly completed my 30 under 30 but I’ve taken a bit of a break the past 6 years due to procrastination. I would like to set new goals and tackle them.
“Our Life in Lists of 30” Book - I really need to publish this second book. I already wrote so much, but I want to complete this stage of my life so I can move forward to “Her Life in Lists of 30”
Thank you for reading and I hope everyone stays safe!
Please suggest a list of 30 and I’ll write it! I’ve written 250+ lists of 30 and only publish ones that I think other people would enjoy. It’s my fun brainstorming routine.
