//ChatGPT made me into a figurine and also gave me an earring
Theme of the Month - SF and Shows
The questions/thoughts that led me to the posts for Sept 2025 were:
How do I reduce screen time overall?
What do I think my immigrant parents wanted to teach me?
How as Brazil in 2013?
What random insights did you have from your note app dump?
How’s disc golfing going?
It takes time to settle into comfort. The comfort of being a functional social human, a respectful son, a hardworking contributor to an industry of builders, a reliable partner, and a father each has its own journey towards acceptance. I feel like I’ve leaned into my own being without any shame or guilt of doing things my own way. I’m sure there’s judgment, but there’s the subtle art of just not giving a f*ck about what others think.
Perhaps this is all a symptom of the upcoming midlife crisis. Will I run a marathon? Buy an expensive car? Adopt some more random hobbies? Is it grilling and smoking meats? Home improvement to build some furniture? There’s surprisingly a lot going on and yet nothing of much consequence.
In philosophy, I think I’ll choose the path of least resistance and lowest upkeep. I want less drama and more yummy food. I’ll touch more grass and keep the AI digital life a separate reality from good old fashion connections. I just need to feel bored more often and deal with silence without the race of keeping up with podcasts or completing crosswords. Perhaps it’ll be simpler.
Also, I’m pretty sure I’m addicted to my phone and socially dependent on alcohol, so there’s more things to work on. I have definitely enjoyed this month of concerts (Offspring, Portola, and Above & Beyond) which invariably included some dancing and relaxing. The mental resets are much appreciated.
The blogposts I’ve published this month were:
I spend too much time on my phone. Here’s some ideas for me to implement as micro-habits for me to spend more time IRL.
My parents and I talked about some random life lessons while they were visiting. Here’s what I got out of it.
It has been quite some time since I’ve been to Brazil. I should head back soon with my neighborhood local.
This is still my favorite style of posting because I remember all those little inside jokes with myself. You can have an inside joke with yourself, right?
I’ve been disc golfing for a year and it’s been quite the journey. These are my lessons learned and personal tips for getting started.
Some ideas for Oct 2025?
[Travel Advice] San Francisco - Workshops, Food spots, and Portola (but mostly food spots).
30 Passive Inputs that can inspire Active Outputs - Everything is a balance between active and passive engagement. I just want all consumption to be balanced with creativity.
30 Lifelong Side quests worth taking (Pt 1) - What if we’re in an RPG? What quests do I want to complete?
30 Lifelong Main Quests (Pt 2) - This links to a series of posts that I’ve thought about on different separate life long quests.
30 Go-to Cooks - What do I love to cook if I just had a random fridge?
30 Future Decade Goals - We split the next 30 years into goals per decade as mapped out by Evie’s age. This was a great activity in long term planning for her ages 6-16, 16-26, and 26-36.
Lists of 30 App - I want to build something different to house my lists of 30. I have plenty to fill a book, so why not fill an app? Why not fill a Clembot that can live in this app and help others with this writing journey? It’s all vibes.
Thank you for reading and I hope everyone stays safe! See y’all in the new year!
Please suggest a list of 30 and I’ll write it! I’ve written 300+ lists of 30 and only publish ones that I think other people would enjoy. It’s my fun brainstorming routine.

//ChatGPT roasted me by saying I’ll look like this in 10 years. Probably accurate.
